Your mind matters! It plays a vital role in how you feel, how you react and how you behave. It has a huge influence over both your physical and mental well being and can even control pain. By working with the subconscious mind it is possible to bring about effective and lasting change.

What is HypnoTherapy?
HypnoTherapy is the use of hypnosis for therapeutic purposes. In hypnosis the subconscious mind is reached - this is where change can be achieved gently and effectively through positive, therapeutic suggestion.
Hypnosis is a state of deep relaxation which is wonderful to experience. Whilst in hypnosis you remain fully aware and in complete control, bringing your own solutions to issues you are facing. The hypnotherapist is purely a navigator who helps you release the inner resources needed for the resolution of your issues.

Why HypnoTherapy?
HypnoTherapy is a completely natural and safe method of healing that has been used for thousands of years. It uses the power of the mind to make beneficial changes and to increase physical and mental well being in only a few sessions.

How does it work?
During hypnosis the mind does not differentiate between fact and fiction. The positive suggestions made by the therapist are therefore accepted as realistic and achievable, and can easily be integrated into your belief systems and patterns of behaviour. The result will be positive change at a deep and permanent level.

What does it feel like?
Hypnosis is a beautifully comfortable state of deep relaxation in which you feel aware of, yet slightly removed, from your surroundings. It is similar to that experienced by everyone on a daily basis when waking up or dropping off to sleep, when watching television or just daydreaming. You will know what is being said but may not always choose to listen closely.

Is it for me?
Everyone can benefit from HypnoTherapy, whether simply for release of stress and tension, or for the fast and effective resolution of deeper problems and concerns.


What happens during the session?
We will start by discussing your issue and how hypnotherapy can help you. If, during this time, you feel that you are not ready to go ahead with the session there is no charge. We then establish goals of therapy to measure progress and changes as it's easy to forget what issues we once had when we feel better! Once a programme has been determined you will be guided gently and comfortably into a trance state.
The content of the session varies every time and is always personalised to your particular situation. If you feel uncomfortable about anything whilst in the trance state then you will automatically emerge from hypnosis. You remain fully in control at all times.

What about self help techniques?
I always teach a variety of self help techniques using self hypnosis, colour, breathing techniques and EFT (tapping on energy meridians). This gives you the tools to continue working on your own and to feel empowered to deal with difficult situations as they arise.

What can be treated?
HypnoTherapy is a positive and effective way of working on a wide range of issues, both emotional and physical, whether to eliminate the negative or enhance the positive.
